Martin Nash assisted Marcus Haber on a 18th minute goal and had an unassisted goal in the final minute of play to lead the defending United Soccer Leagues First Division champion Vancouver Whitecaps to a 2-2 draw over the Cleveland City Stars at Bedford, OH's Middlefield Cheese Stadium Tuesday.
Cleveland had rallied from being a goal down in the first half as Leo Gordon connected with a pass from Ibrahim Kante in the 28th minute and Pato Aguilera made a penalty kick in the 45th minute, but the lead would not hold.
The Whitecaps, 4-5-3 with 15 points and in eighth place in the USL1 standings, rests until July 9 when they host the Minnesota Thunder at Swangard Stadium.
Cleveland, 2-9-3 with nine points and in tenth place, hosts the Austin Aztex Saturday.
