Stuart Wark assisted on a Stephen Brocks goal in the 10th minute, then was helped by Ross Hopkins on a 33rd minute goal to lead the host St. Louis Lions to a 2-0 shutout victory over the Real Colorado Foxes in a battle of the top two teams in the United Soccer Leagues Premier Development League's Central Conference, Heartland Division Saturday at the Tony Glavin Soccer Complex.
It was the first game of a weekend series which concludes Sunday.
The Foxes lead the division at 5-3-1 with 16 points, but the Lions are two points behind at 4-1-2 with 14.
