Lightning Strikes Four Times For Smith In Victory

Caroline Smith had four goals and an assist and Kylie Kallman added a goal and an assist as the host Minnesota Lightning were more than the visiting West Michigan Firewomen could handle in a 6-0 United Soccer Leagues W-League victory Sunday at the National Sports Center in Blaine, MN.

Irie Dennis scored in the 15th minute unassisted for the Firewomen's only goal.

The Lightning are in second place in the Central Conference, Midwest Division, tied with the FC Indiana Lionesses at 1-0-1 and four points, and host the Fort Wayne Fever Thursday.

The Firewomen are winless at 0-4-0 and are tied with two idle teams at the moment -- the Cleveland Internationals and the Fever -- for last place in the division. West Michigan are at the Internationals this Sunday.
