Lightning Gives Fire Victory Over Outrage

In a game called in the 51st minute due to lightning, Lauren Switzer scored the game's only goal on a pass from Michele O'Brien as the Chicago Red Eleven shut out the host Kalamazoo Outrage, 1-0, Friday in United Soccer Leagues W-League play at Loy Norrix High School.

The Fire lead the Central Conference, Midwest Division at 6-1-1 with 19 points while the Outrage (2-2-0, six points) are tied with the Cleveland Internationals (2-3-0) for fifth place.

Both teams have the Fort Wayne Fever as a guest to their respective stadiums -- Chicago hosts them Tuesday at Toyota Park, Kalamazoo opens Loy Norrix to them next Saturday.
