Legends Comeback Causes Draw With Fusion

The Los Angeles Legends, down 0-2 to the Ventura County Fusion Sunday at Ayala Stadium Field, pulled off a rally to force a 2-2 draw in United Soccer Leagues W-League play.

The Fusion scored twice in the first 15 minutes. Jazmarae Strozier opened the scoring off a Heloise Oliveira assist in the 11th minute, then Emily Cressy helped Paula Pires four minutes later for the 2-0 lead.

Lisa Kevorkian teamed with Jamie Bell for LA's first goal in the 20th minute, then the Legends knotted the score eight minutes later on Charney Burk's unassisted goal.

Both LA (0-2-1) and Ventura County (0-1-1) are tied for last place in the Western Conference standings.

The Legends are at the Vancouver Whitecaps Friday at Swangard Stadium, then head to Starfire Sports Complex in Tukwila, WA to visit the Seattle Wolves this Sunday.

Ventura County are at the division-leading Real Colorado Cougars next Monday.
