Alan Koger had a pair of goals and an assist as the host Virginia Legacy shut out the Northern Virginia Royals, 4-0, Sunday in United Soccer Leagues Premier Development League play at James City County Stadium.
The Legacy won their first game of the season and are now 1-0-4 with seven points and tied for third in the Eastern Conference, Mid-Atlantic Division with the Cary Clarets and the FC Fredericksburg Gunners, both 2-2-1 on the season.
Northern Virginia is in last place in the division at 0-4-3 with three points.
Virginia hosts the Hampton Roads Pirahnas Thursday while the Royals are off until June 14 when they host the West Virginia Chaos.
