Lawrence Scores Game-Winning Goal For Brilla Over Capitals

Jacob Lawrence's game-winning goal off Anteneh Lemma in the 90th minute gave the Mississippi Brilla a 3-2 victory over the Baton Rouge Capitals in United Soccer Leagues Premier Development League play from Baton Rouge's Olympia Stadium.

Debola Ogunseye and Jared Wooley traded goals for the respective teams throughout the game to force the 2-2 draw in the 66th minute.

Mississippi is in second place in the Southern Conference, Southeast Division at 7-1-4 with 25 points, two behind the Bradenton Academics (8-1-3, 27) for the division lead. Brilla hosts the New Orleans Jesters Saturday.

Baton Rouge, 1-7-3 with six points and in last place, travel to the Panama City Pirates Friday.
