Patrick Baxter had an unassisted goal in the 37th minute and Branden Stelmak scored two minutes later off a Justin Jenkins play as the host Cincinnati Kings fought off the Fort Wayne Fever, 3-1, Saturday in a United Soccer Leagues Premier Development League contest from the Town & Country Sports Complex.
Fort Wayne gave the Kings an own goal in the 55th minute and truly scored on Max Toulette's 88th minute attempt.
Cincinnati (3-5-3, 12 points) is in fifth place in the Central Conference, Great Lakes Division and hosts the Toronto Lynx Friday.
Fort Wayne, though, is 2-6-1 and tied with the Lynx (2-7-1) at seven points for last place in the division. The Fever host the Cleveland Internationals Wednesday and Forest City London next Saturday.
