Nate Jaqua scored two goals and assisted on a goal by Fredy Montero, who assisted on both of Jaqua's goals as the host Seattle Sounders shut out the Colorado Rapids, 3-0, Sunday in Major League Soccer action from Qwest Field.
Seattle is now in third place in the Western Conference standings with a 6-3-7 record and 25 points. They will next host the conference-leading Houston Dynamo July 11.
Colorado, 5-3-6 with 21 points, in is fourth place in the conference and will host the Chicago Fire this Saturday at Dick's Sporting Goods Park.
