Matthew Horth scored off a Tim White assist in the 71st minute, then assisted Chris Leiva on the final point in the 83rd minute as the host Southern California Seahorses defeated the Lancaster Rattlers, 3-1, Saturday in United Soccer Leagues Premier Development League action at La Mirada High School.
Josiah Snelgrove opened the game with an unassisted 11th minute goal for the Seahorses before the Ratters leveled the score in the 15th minute on an unassisted Christian Hernandez goal.
The Seahorses are 2-2-3 with nine points and are in sixth place in the Western Conference, Southwest Division standings.
The Rattlers are 1-5-1 with four points and tied with the Ogden Outlaws (1-4-1) for last place.
Southern California travels this Saturday to the Bakersfield Brigade and Lancaster meets the Orange County Blue Star on the road next Sunday.
