Jyler Noviello completed a pass from Kenny Bundy in the 70th minute as the Wilmington Hammerheads shut out the Bermuda Hogges, 1-0, Friday, in United Soccer Leagues Second Division play at Legion Sports Complex in Wilmington, NC.
The Hammerheads are 4-2-2 with 14 points and in second place in the league standings. They will host the Charlotte Eagles Tuesday in a first round match in the 2009 Lamar Hunt US Open Cup tournament, then return to league play Saturday at Crystal Palace Baltimore.
Bermuda, at 3-4-1 with 10 points and tied for fifth place with the Richmond Kickers (2-1-4), will be at the Eagles Saturday, then head to the Pittsburgh Riverhounds Thursday and the Harrisburg City Islanders next Saturday.
