Jennifer Parsons had a hat trick and two assists to lead six players in scoring for the Washington Freedom in a 9-0 rout of the New York Magic in United Soccer Leagues W-League play Saturday from the Maryland Soccerplex.
Brittany Taylor had two goals and an assist and four other players -- Mara Oshaer, Meghan Lenczyk, Molly Menchel and Jesstine Wolfe -- had a goal and an assist each in the victory.
The Freedom are 4-1-0 with 12 points and in fifth place in the Eastern Conference, Northeast Division. Washington hosts the New Jersey Wildcats Sunday, then hits the road for games this Saturday and next Sunday against the Western Mass Lady Pioneers and the Connecticut Passion, respectively.
New York, at 1-5-2 with five points and in seventh place, will be at the Boston Renegades this Saturday and the Lady Pioneers next Sunday.
