Freedom Keeps Lady Pioneers Winless

Meghan Lenczyk had two goals and Caitlin Miskel had a goal and an assist as the Washington Freedom kept the host Western Mass Lady Pioneers winless for the 2009 United Soccer Leagues W-League season in a 3-0 shutout Saturday at Lusitano Stadium.

Washington, 6-1-0 with 18 points, is tied with the Boston Renegades (5-2-3) for second place in the Eastern Conference, Northeast Division, a point behind the Hudson Valley Quickstrike Lady Blues (6-0-1) for the division lead. The Freedom are at the Connecticut Passion Sunday before hosting the Renegades Wednesday at the Maryland Soccerplex.

Western Mass is 0-10-0 and hosts the New York Magic Sunday.
