Ed Edward ended 70 minutes of inactivity with an unassisted goal in the final minute of regulation time as the host Kansas City Brass played to a 1-1 draw Thursday with the Des Moines Menace in a United Soccer Leagues Premier Development League game at William Jewell College.
The Menace's Ben Taylor fed a pass to Sterling Copeland in the 20th minute to give Des Moines the lead.
Des Moines holds firm to second place in the Central Conference, Heartland Division standings with a 3-0-3 record and 12 points. They will face the defending league champion Thunder Bay Chill on the road next Friday.
Kansas City, who are at the Springfield Demize this Saturday, are 1-4-1 with four points and are in fifth place.
