Kirk Urso scored on a 25th minute penalty kick and Sheanon Williams (32') and Arie Moore (85') added unassisted goals as the Carolina Dynamo defeated the host Northern Virginia Royals, 3-1, Saturday in a United Soccer Leagues Premier Development League game at Hellwig Memorial Field Stadium.
Northern Virginia's only goal came unassisted by David Atkinson in the final minute of the first half.
The Dynamo are 4-3-2 with 14 points and are third in the Eastern Conference, Mid-Atlantic standings. They will travel Sunday to the FC Fredericksburg Gunners.
Northern Virginia is in last place in the division at 1-6-4 with seven points and will host the Reading Rage next Sunday.
