Guillermo Barros Schelotto connected with Chad Marshall just before halftime as the defending Major League Soccer champion Columbus Crew got past the New York Red Bulls, 1-0, Saturday in a rematch of the 2008 MLS Cup, this time at Crew Stadium, where Columbus extended their home winning streak to four games after opening the season there with three straight draws.

New York is the worst team in the league at 2-12-4 with 10 points.

The Crew steps away from league play Tuesday to face the Rochester Rhinos of the United Soccer Leagues First Division in the third round of the 2009 Lamar Hunt US Open Cup tournament, then host United July 4.

New York travels to Pizza Hut Park in Frisco, TX to face FC Dallas July 4.
