With help from Brek Shea and Andre Rocha, Kenny Cooper's goal with three minutes left to play in regulation caused a 2-2 draw between host FC Dallas and the San Jose Earthquakes in Major League Soccer play Sunday at Pizza Hut Park in Frisco, TX.
Jeff Cunningham and Dax McCarty teamed with David Ferreira on Dallas' first goal in the 29th minute to give them the eventual halftime lead.
An own goal by Dallas' Pablo Ricchetti mistakenly tied the game at 1-1 at the hour mark, then Arturo Alvarez put the Hoops on top with an 82nd minute unassisted goal.
With the point for both teams added, FC Dallas is 2-6-4 with 10 points and in seventh place in the Western Conference standings while San Jose remains in last place at 2-7-3 with nine points and is tied for the worst record in MLS with the New York Red Bulls of the Eastern Conference at 2-8-3 with 10 points heading into Sunday night's game at the New England Revolution.
