Brandon Chagnard's unassisted 76th minute goal was enough for the New Orleans Jesters to avoid another draw in their inaugural United Soccer Leagues Premier Development League season as they edged the Bradenton Academics, 2-1, Sunday at IMG Soccer Academy in Bradenton, FL.
Leonardo Barros started New Orleans' scoring with an unassisted 13th minute goal but Bradenton countered seven minutes later when Anthony Ampaipitakwong was assisted by Steven Morris on the game-tying goal.
The Jesters are 2-0-4 with 10 points and in third place in the Southern Conference, Southeast Division. They host the Nashville Metros Saturday.
Bradenton is 3-1-2 with 11 points and in second place. The Academics are at the Central Florida Kraze Saturday.
