Dave Hertel (22') and Pete Nowak (71') scored goals as the Michigan Bucks edged the Indiana Invaders, 2-1, Thursday in United Soccer Leagues Premier Development League play at Ultimate Soccer Arenas in Pontiac, MI.
Saidi Issac brought the game to a 1-1 tie in the 38th minute on an Invaders penalty kick, but Michigan was just too strong.
The Bucks are now tied with the Chicago Fire, both with identical 4-1-0 record and 13 points, in the Central Conference, Great Lakes Division.
Indiana is 1-3-1 with four points and tied for fifth place in the single table standings with the Fort Wayne Fever (1-2-1).
Both Michigan and Indiana get the Kalamazoo Outrage on the road in their next game -- Michigan Sunday, Indiana on June 12.
