Brilla Blanks Pirates; In Three-Way Tie For Division Lead

Stefan Ostergren turned a Nicholas Rich pass in the 51st minute into a goal and Debola Ogunseye had an unassisted play in the 65th minute as the Mississippi Brilla shut out the host Panama City Pirates, 2-0, Saturday in a United Soccer Leagues Premier Development League game at Gavlak Stadium in Panama City, FL.

The win put the Brilla (5-1-2) into a three-way tie with the Bradenton Academics (also 5-1-2) and the New Orleans Jesters (4-0-5) for the lead in the Southern Conference, Southeast Division with 17 points and makes for an interesting weekend to come.

Mississippi will host Bradenton Friday and travel to the Jesters Saturday.

Panama City is 2-3-2 with eight points and in fifth place in the division race. They will host the Atlanta Blackhawks next Sunday.
