Forward Byron Carmichael of the Ocean City Barons of the United Soccer Leagues Premier Development League was named Monday Player of the Round for the opening round of the 2009 Lamar Hunt US Open Cup tournament, held June 16.
Carmichael scored two of his team's three goals in an upset victory over Crystal Palace Baltimore of the USL Second Division and were to host another USL2 team, the Real Maryland Monarchs, in the second round Tuesday.
