Joseph Banks scored the game-winning goal in the 22nd minute off a William Swezta assist as the Ocean City Barons defeated the host Westchester Flames, 1-0, Saturday in United Soccer Leagues Premier Development League play at McKenna Field.
The Barons are 5-1-1 with 16 points and are solidly in second place in the Eastern Conference, Northeast Division standings. Ocean City will take on the New Jersey Rangers on the road Wednesday.
Westchester is 1-5-2 with two points and tied for last in the division with the Rangers and the New Hampshire Phantoms. The Flames host the Rhode Island Stingrays Sunday.
