Ben Arikian led the Eastern Conference, Northeast Division-leading Long Island Rough Riders with an unassisted 45th minute goal and later assisted on Tadeu Terra's 59th minute strike in a 3-1 victory over the host Rhode Island Stingrays Saturday in a United Soccer Leagues Premier Development League contest at Rhode Island College.
Gary Flood scored first for Long Island in the 24th minute off a Michael Todd pass.
Barnaba Modal scored for the Stingrays in the 89th minute as Nicholas Santalacci fired a shot off to him.
Long Island leads the division at 8-1-0 with 24 points and are at the New Jersey Rangers Sunday.
Rhode Island, 2-5-1 with seven points and in sixth place, travel to the Westchester Flames Sunday.
