For the second year in a row and third in the last four years, FC Barcelona of Spain's La Liga Clasico will compete against Major League Soccer teams in a three-game series announced Friday.
They will face the Los Angeles Galaxy, with the return of David Beckham at that time, at the Rose Bowl in Pasadena, CA August 1, then take on the expansion Seattle Sounders FC August 5 at Qwest Field. The third opponent and location for the game have yet to be announced.
FC Barcelona currently leads the La Liga Clasico standings with 85 points and is set to vie for the Copa del Rey tournament title May 13 against Athletic Bilbao, then meet Manchester United in Rome May 27 for the UEFA Champions League title.
FCB is in the second year of a five-year partnership with MLS.
