Brooks Gives Monarchs Victory Over The Palace

Gary Brooks scored a goal off a Marc Gracien assist in the 87th minute as the Real Maryland Monarchs stole a 1-0 United Soccer Leagues Second Division victory from the host Crystal Palace Baltimore Friday at the University of Maryland-Baltimore County.

Real Maryland (4-2-0) and Crystal Palace (3-4-3) are tied for second place in the league standings with 12 points, one behind the league-leading Harrisburg City Islanders, who the Monarchs host Sunday.

Crystal Palace is at the Western Mass Pioneers June 5.
