Brilla Signs Trio From D2 Francis Marion College

Mississippi Brilla FC of the United Soccer Leagues Premier Development League announced the signing Tuesday of three players from Francis Marion College, an NCAA Division II team who plays in the Peach Belt Conference -- defender Willie Hunt, midfielder Kyle Clinton and forward Juan Rivas.

The trio led the school to a 2008 record of 14-5-3, won the conference's regular season and tournament titles, and advanced to the second round of the NCAA College Cup.

Hunt was named to the NCAA D2 All-Southeast Region Second Team last season after starting all 22 games and scoring four goals and two assists. He was part of a defensive unit that had eight shutout victories and had a 1.35 goals against average in 2008.

Clinton and Rivas were both named to the All-Southeast Region Third Team. Clinton led the team in goals with ten and had five assists. Rivas had nine goals and five assists last season and led the team in 2007 in goals, assists and points.
